Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider within the Ilembe District Municipality to supply and deliver medals, as well as hire tables and chairs, for the Nokukhanya Luthuli Commemoration Chess Tournament scheduled for 07 March 2026 at the Luthuli Museum.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Provision of medals with specific inscriptions and designs for various categories and participants, including primary and secondary school levels, both male and female, with different medal types (gold, silver, bronze).
• Supply of tables and chairs for hire, including folding tables with black plastic tops and heavy-duty plastic party chairs, with specified dimensions and features.

Technical Requirements

Medals

• Medals must be 50ml with 45mm diameter.
• Medals should include specific text and stickers, such as "Commemorated Chess Tournament 2026" and category-specific inscriptions like "3rd High School Male".
• Use of the Chief Albert Luthuli Chess Club logo is required.

Tables and Chairs

• Folding tables with black plastic tops, dimensions 46x42x82cm, seat height 43cm, weight 2.8kg, stackable.
• Plastic heavy-duty party chairs, available in various colors, stackable, with specified dimensions.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

• Registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) prior to bid submission.
• Completion and signing of all required forms, including the Pricing Schedule, Bidder Declaration, and Preference Points Claim Form.
• Provision of valid SARS Tax PIN, BBBEE affidavit/certificate, CIPC registration documents, certified ID copies of directors, proof of business address, and other mandatory documentation.
• Demonstrated capability to produce medals as specified, including design, inscription, and logo application.
• Experience in supplying event medals and hire equipment such as tables and chairs.
• Understanding of procurement processes and compliance with the RFQ conditions and evaluation criteria.
