Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to engage a service provider to supply and maintain hygienic, adequate, and compliant ablution facilities for the International Aviation Day event hosted by Sacaa and other stakeholders. The aim is to ensure hygiene, comfort, and public health standards are upheld for all attendees, staff, and vendors throughout the event duration.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of clean and safe sanitation facilities at Margate Airport, Kwa-Zulu Natal, from 5th to 6th December 2025.
• Delivery of specified ablution units on 4th December 2025 and collection on 6th December 2025.
• Supply of various toilet units including VIP, physically handicapped, and portable toilets.
• Provision of janitorial services, cleaning, sanitation, restocking, and waste management during the event.
• Ensuring all units meet health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the ablution services include:

• Delivery of 4 VIP his and hers flushable toilets by 10:00 on 4th December 2025.
• Delivery of 1 physically handicapped flushable toilet by 10:00 on 4th December 2025.
• Delivery of 20 portable flush toilets by 15:00 on 4th December 2025.
• Provision of 5 janitor service personnel, identifiable by uniforms, to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Supply of necessary equipment such as tissues, soap, hand sanitizer, and lotion for VIP toilets.
• Regular cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking of toilet supplies, including toilet paper, soap, towels, and hand sanitizer.
• Use of non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning products.
• Provision of waste bins and regular refuse removal.
• Odour control systems in enclosed units.
• Compliance with local public health, sanitation, and building regulations.
• Structural safety, good ventilation, slip resistance, and fire safety measures (no open flames or smoking near ablution areas).

Skills Requirements

The service provider must demonstrate:

• Experience in providing sanitation and ablution services for large-scale events.
• Ability to deliver and set up multiple toilet units within specified timelines.
• Capability to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the event.
• Availability of trained janitorial staff with identifiable uniforms.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and waste disposal permits.
• Provision of proof of business address and relevant permits during site inspections.
