ALFRED NZO DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY INVITES TENDERS FOR UMZIMVUBU WARD 14 WATER SUPPLY
It is estimated that tenderers should have a cidb contractor grading of 7CE or higher.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who submit bids for the following project
Only tenderers who Bids are invited from suitably qualified Contractor to submit Bids to undertake the implementation of the
Umzimvubu Ward 14 Water Supply within the Alfred Nzo District Municipality. The scope of work entails repairs of existing reservoirs,
Upgrade the existing spring protection, construction of borehole pump stations, and bulk rising main pipelines, upgrading of existing
gravity main pipelines, construction of booster pump stations and extension of reticulation network including standpipes. The following
gives a high level indication of the scope and extent of works to be undertaken;
•Refurbishment and repair of leaks to the existing Reservoirs;
•Upgrade the existing spring protection;
•Upgrade 835m 75mm MPVC Class 9 existing gravity main from Niyona spring to existing 1Ml Niyona reservoir;
•Upgrade 6.00km rising main from existing borehole EC-T33-335 and EC-T33-338. The proposed scope includes the construction of
rising main pipelines ranging from, 320m of 50mm diameter Steel pipes, 1,2km’s of 80mm dia Steel pipes, 2,87km’s of 100mm dia
Steel pipes and 1,61km’s of 110mm dia uPVC Class 16;
•Refurbish the two (2) existing borehole pump stations (EC-T33-335 and EC-T33-338);
•Extension of 4090m’s of 50mm PN10 and 280m of 63 PN10 of reticulation network from the existing infrastructure and construction of
14 communal standpipes;
•Construction of EC-T33-332 borehole pump station including fencing;
•Construction of booster pumping stations from EC-T33-332;
•Construction of 5.375km’s of rising mains from EC-T33-332 and EC-T33-1190
•Construction of associated valve and valve chambers along the rising mains including all pipe connections (i.e. air valves, scour
valves, non-return valves and isolation valves).
