Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the provision of international and national cold-chain distribution services for antivenom orders over a period of twelve (12) months to SAVP at NHLS Sandringham Campus. The service aims to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient transportation and delivery of temperature-sensitive antivenom products, adhering to regulatory standards and international pharmaceutical logistics principles.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of cold-chain logistics for both domestic and international shipments of antivenom.
• Handling of consignments in compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and international standards.
• Management of customs, border procedures, and shipping validation requirements.
• Delivery of consignments within specified timeframes, ensuring temperature control (2°C to 8°C).
• Provision of tracking, documentation, reporting, and incident management.
• Maintenance of quality systems, equipment, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Insurance coverage for international transit and handling of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Compliance with international pharmaceutical logistics standards and NHLS regulations.
• Operational systems capable of tracking shipments, managing documentation, and reporting excursions or incidents.
• Proper labelling, packaging, and handling to maintain product integrity.
• Availability of validated shipping validation processes and quality assurance systems.
• Adherence to customs and border management protocols for international shipments.
• Provision of full replacement value coverage for domestic and international transport.
• Implementation of risk management, accountability, and insurance procedures.
• Availability of operational evidence and compliance documentation for audit and oversight.
