Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the Service and Repairs of HVAC Equipment across various locations, including Butterworth Magistrate Court, for a duration of 4 months. The aim is to ensure the proper maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of HVAC systems to meet the needs of multiple clients within the specified area.

Scope

The scope of work encompasses:

• Provision of HVAC equipment servicing, repairs, and maintenance at multiple client sites within Area 2, including Tsolo, Qumbu, Mount Frere, Mount Ayliff, Ntabankulu, and Sulenkama.
• Execution of day-to-day maintenance, interim contracts, and emergency repairs as specified in the tender documents.
• Adherence to specified technical and safety standards, including security clearance, confidentiality, and compliance with legislation.
• Provision of necessary personnel, tools, and materials to carry out the services efficiently over the 4-month period.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Having a CIDB contractor grading designation of 1 ME or higher.
• Compliance with functionality criteria, including relevant experience on comparable projects, contractual performance, and qualified human resources.
• Provision of technical certificates such as refrigeration and gas licenses, trade certificates, and proof of professional registration.
• Implementation of health and safety plans, security clearance, and confidentiality protocols.
• Adherence to the Conditions of Contract, including quality standards, reporting incidents, and timely completion of tasks.
• Provision of security guarantees or deposits as specified in the tender.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for bidders include:

• Technicians with Refrigeration Mechanical Trade Test Certificates or Refrigeration Trade Certificates.
• Technicians holding valid South African Qualification Committee (SAQCC) Gas licenses/certificates.
• Qualified personnel with experience in HVAC systems, refrigeration, and electrical repairs.
• Personnel capable of conducting inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with industry standards.
• Project management skills to coordinate multiple sites, ensure compliance, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to prepare detailed reports, safety documentation, and handle emergency repairs efficiently.
